This is a guided Anse Major tour in the north of Mahé. We will pick you up and take you by car to the starting point of the hike. The hike is on a single trail through the cinnamon forest, there are minor climbs and descents here and there, but they are easily manageable even by children aged 5 and above. Sturdy shoes are recommended. No flip-flops.

Anse Major Tour

We have certainly walked this tour to Anse Major over 1000 times in the last 10 years and we are still fascinated by this beautiful hike to this day. In terms of outdoor activities on Mahé, this hike, which can also be described as a walk, is a highlight in the Seychelles.

The guided tour to Anse Major is easy to walk and doable even in bad weather. You have a great view of various bays & of the northwest of Mahé.

The green nature in the jungle to be crossed is not dangerous.

Children from the age of 5 will be equally enthusiastic, as there is a lot to see & discover. We may even see a real flying fox up close and feed it.

Anse Major is not accessible by car, you have to make a little effort, but you will be extraordinarily rewarded.

Pick up and drop off

We pick you up from any point on Mahé. Be it a hotel, guesthouse, CatCocos berth, Airport, Cruise port, Eden Island or any special address, e.g. at your friends place. After the tour we will also bring you back to the starting point or wherever you want on Mahé.

Tour itinerary

The tour to Anse Major is probably the most popular hike in the Seychelles, especially on Mahé.

Especially because the hike can be done with just a little effort, you see a lot of the west coast, such as the Silhouette & North islands, the Cinnamon Forest and some more viewpoints, the tour is a lot of fun.

At around 10:00 am (you can choose the time) we will pick you up at a meeting point of your choice and drive to the entry point of the hike.

The hike takes about 3 hours (out and back). You will have the opportunity to swim in Anse Major, take photos or just discover the magnificent bay.

Afterwards, we will hike back and take you to your starting point or to a place of your choice on Mahé.

In total we will be walking for about 3-4 hours.
