Our Victoria city tour shows you a side of the Seychelles that many visitors miss. Victoria is one of the smallest capital cities in the world, and it is full of colour, history and everyday Creole life. Together we explore it on foot, relaxed and without stress.
In 2–3 hours you see the most beautiful and important spots: the colourful Hindu temple, the Clocktower, two cathedrals, the lively Sir Selwyn Selwyn-Clarke Market and the Botanical Garden with its giant tortoises and Coco de Mer palms. If you like, we finish with a Creole lunch.
The tour is private, so it is only you and your partner, family or group. Victoria is flat and without barriers. The walk is easy for everyone, also with a stroller or a wheelchair.

Why a Victoria city tour is worth it
Many people think the Seychelles are only beaches and honeymoons. Our capital proves them wrong. Victoria is small, friendly and surprisingly diverse. In a few streets you find a Hindu temple, two cathedrals, colonial buildings, modern monuments and a market full of island life. Because everything is close together and flat, a walk is the perfect way to discover it.
We are a family business on Mahé, run by Sheena Jean since 2020. All our guides are licensed and hold an official tour guide certificate, and as a team we love to show guests the real Seychelles. On this tour you walk with someone who knows every corner of town.
The sights on our walking tour
Temple, cathedrals and monuments
The Arul Mihu Navasakthi Vinayagar Temple is the colourful heart of the Hindu community. A few minutes away stands the silver Clocktower, the best known landmark of Victoria. We visit St. Paul's Cathedral and see the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, the largest and oldest church in the Seychelles. The Bicentennial Monument, the Unity Monument and the Zonm Lib statue tell the story of a young nation. The statue of Pierre Poivre and the Queen Victoria Diamond Jubilee Fountain recall the colonial past. We also pass La Domus, the small Victoria marina and many sculptures and symbols of the Seychelles.
Sir Selwyn Selwyn-Clarke Market
The market is where Victoria comes alive. Fishermen offer the catch of the day, farmers sell tropical fruit and vegetables, and small stalls smell of cinnamon, vanilla and curry. It is a good place to buy spices, souvenirs and Creole handicrafts. We help you find what you are looking for and explain what you see.
Botanical Garden with giant tortoises
A short detour takes you to the Botanical Garden. Here you meet the famous giant tortoises and see the Coco de Mer, the palm with the largest seed in the plant kingdom and a true symbol of our islands. Shady paths and tropical plants make it a calm break after the busy market.
Easy for everyone
Victoria has no hills in the town centre, and the route is without barriers. Families with a stroller and guests in a wheelchair can join without problems. We walk at your pace and take breaks whenever you like. When two adults book with children, the first child up to 12 years joins for free.
Private, flexible and personal
This is a private tour: only you and your partner, family or group take part, from two guests up to 25. Tell us your wishes when you book. We gladly add a Creole lunch or adapt the route to your interests. Our guides speak English and French, and Sheena also speaks a bit of German.
We meet you at Victoria Main Bus Station, or, optionally, we pick you up anywhere on Mahé: at your hotel, guesthouse, the airport, the cruise terminal, the CatCocos jetty or Eden Island. The tour is ideal for cruise passengers and for a relaxed day between two beach days. Please note that the city tour does not run on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.

Visiting the capital of Seychelles. Very nice little town to visit on foot to discover all the corners and various markets for shopping, weather always uncertain but between sun and clouds it is always a spectacle.

A great first day activity in Mahé. Kevin was the perfect guide and the communication from Sheena was great! This tour was a really nice way to see Victoria and learn a bit more about the city. We got lots of great photos, saw so much of Victoria, and (even though it's a walking tour) didn't break a sweat - the tour was very relaxed, which was exactly what we wanted. Would definitely recommend.

A great private island tour. We had a fantastic holiday day on our island tour with Sheena. We had booked two excursions online before our holiday, which we carried out back to back on one day. First the Copolia Trail and then the Victoria City Tour. Both excursions can be done well in one day. Sheena picked us up at the hotel and dropped us off there at the end. Sheena was always helpful and gave us detailed inform…
