Booking terms
These booking terms apply to all tours booked on islandtourseychelles.com. The website and bookings are operated by Island Tour Seychelles (Karl Schnürch). The tours and guiding are carried out by SeyMahe Island Services (Sheena Jean), a licensed tour operator on Mahé. Details are in our imprint.
1. Booking and payment
You book your tour online. Your booking is confirmed once full payment has been received. Payment is made in advance through our payment provider Stripe. You can pay by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or PayPal. You receive a confirmation by e-mail. Please check that your details, especially date, pick up place and phone number, are correct.
2. Private tours
Our tours are private. Only you and the people in your booking take part, with your own guide and vehicle. The route and the stops described on the tour page are a guide. Your guide may adapt the order to traffic, weather and your wishes.
3. Pick up and drop off
Pick up and drop off anywhere on Mahé are included, for example at your hotel, guesthouse, the airport, the jetty in Victoria, the cruise terminal or Eden Island. Please be ready at the agreed time and place. If you stay on another island or in a resort with access control, please inform the front desk so that transfer and entry are arranged.
4. Cancellation by you
- Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the start of the tour. You receive a full refund.
- Cancellations later than 24 hours before the tour are not refundable.
- If you do not appear at the agreed pick up place and time (no show), the price is not refundable.
Please cancel by e-mail or WhatsApp. Refunds are made to the original payment method.
5. Weather and safety
Tours take place in light rain as well, which is normal in the tropics. If a tour cannot take place for safety reasons, for example heavy rain, storms or closed trails, we offer you a new date or a full refund. The decision is made by us in the interest of your safety.
6. Cruise ships
If your cruise ship does not call at Mahé, you can cancel free of charge and receive a full refund, even at short notice. We plan shore excursions so that you are back at the port at least 60 minutes before all aboard.
7. Optional costs
Lunch, dinner, drinks and entrance fees are not included unless stated on the tour page. They are optional and paid by you on site. Would you like more time? You can simply add extra hours when you book, and if the day runs a little longer, that is no problem.
8. Children
When two paying adults book, one child up to 12 years travels free. On half day hikes this applies to one child aged 5 to 12. The minimum age for each tour is shown on the tour page. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
9. Health and liability
Hikes require normal fitness and sure footing. Please tell us in advance about anything we should know, and follow your guide's instructions, especially on trails, rocks and when swimming. Swimming and snorkelling are at your own risk. We carry liability insurance for our tours. We are liable for damage caused by us or our guides as required by law. Please look after your personal belongings.
10. Changes by us
In rare cases we may have to change the guide, the vehicle or the order of stops. If we have to cancel a tour, you receive a full refund or a new date of your choice.
