The attractions in brief

Jardin du Roi, Spice Garden

High above Anse Royale, this historic spice garden shows how cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla and many other spices grow. A lovely stop on a Mahé Island Tour, with wide views over the east coast.

Kot Man-Ya, Exotic Flower Garden

A colourful private garden full of tropical flowers and plants. Perfect for nature lovers and photographers.

Mission Lodge

On the Sans Souci Road, the ruins of the former mission school stand among old trees, with a famous viewpoint over the west coast. It is a place full of history and a quiet moment on many of our tours.

Botanical Garden and the museums in Victoria

The Botanical Garden in Victoria is home to the famous coco de mer palms and giant tortoises. In the capital you can also visit the National History Museum and the Natural History Museum. All three fit well into a Victoria City Tour.

Tea Factory

Seychelles tea grows on the green hills above Port Glaud. A short tour of the factory shows how the leaves are processed, and the terrace offers a fine view.

Sauzier Waterfall

A small, pretty waterfall near Port Glaud on the west coast, reached by a short walk through the forest. A refreshing stop, also on cloudy days.

Takamaka Rum Distillery

At the historic La Plaine St André estate you can learn how Seychelles rum is made. Choose between the tour and a full rum tasting.

Copolia Trail

One of the most popular hikes on Mahé, with a spectacular view from the granite summit over Victoria and the east coast. On our guided Copolia hike, the trail fee is paid on site.

What is the Seychelles airport tour?

Many flights to and from the Seychelles land early in the morning or leave late in the day. Hotel rooms are rarely ready before the afternoon, and check-out is usually around midday. That leaves a gap of several hours, often spent waiting in a lobby with your suitcases. Our Seychelles airport tour fills that gap with something beautiful. We combine your airport transfer with a relaxed visit to Vallée des Fruits, an organic fruit garden on Mahé.

It is one of our most relaxing tours. You don't need to be fit, you don't need to plan anything and you don't need to worry about your luggage. We store it securely in the vehicle while you enjoy the garden.

Vallée des Fruits: an organic garden on Mahé

Vallée des Fruits is a special place. All fruits here grow naturally and completely without pesticides. As you walk through the plantations, you see how tropical fruits are grown on our island, and you taste them fresh from the garden.

Fresh fruit and juice of the day

Your entrance fee is more than an admission ticket. It includes a platter of locally harvested fruit and a glass of freshly pressed juice, made from whatever was picked that day. If you prefer, you can have a chilled coconut instead. A charming rustic bar serves the fruit straight from the garden, and right next to it is a cosy lounge area where you can sit back and enjoy it.

Easy paths, viewpoints and a waterfall

The trails are well kept and easy to walk. Along the way you reach three viewpoints, each with its own view over the surrounding plantations. The path also leads past a small, tranquil waterfall, a lovely spot for a quiet moment in nature. Restrooms are available on arrival, which is very welcome after a long flight.

On arrival: a gentle start to your holiday

After a night flight, the last thing you want is to sit in a hotel lobby for hours. Instead, we meet you at the airport, load your luggage and take you straight into the green heart of Mahé. Fresh fruit and vitamins give you new energy for the days ahead. Afterwards we drive you to your hotel or guesthouse, often just in time for check-in.

Before departure: a relaxed goodbye

On your last day, we collect you from your hotel after check-out. Instead of waiting, you enjoy one more peaceful moment on the island, with fruit, juice and a view over the plantations. Then we bring you to the airport, relaxed and on time.

Also without a flight

Of course you can book this tour without going to or coming from the airport. It is also a great choice if a full island tour or a hike feels like too much. We pick you up anywhere on Mahé: hotel, guesthouse, cruise terminal, Victoria port, Eden Island or a friend's home, and bring you back wherever you like on the island.

Private, flexible and family run

Like all our tours, the airport tour is private: only you and your partner, family or group. Island Tour Seychelles is a family business on Mahé, run by Sheena Jean since 2020, and our guides speak English and French, and Sheena also speaks a bit of German. Would you like more time? Just let us know when you book, and if it runs a little longer on the day, that is no problem. The tour is paid online in advance, while the entrance fee and any additional food or drinks are paid on site.
